Valmet Hired To Produce Fisker Karma

Fisker KarmaValmet Automotive - the Finnish car manufacturer - signed a preliminary deal with Fiker Automotive to produce the first plug-in hybrid sports car for the company at its plant located northwest of the Finnish capital.

Valmet will begin production of the new Fisker Karma during the fourth quarter of 2009. The first cars will be delivered to Europe and North America in 2010.

The Fisker Karma can move up to 50 miles with a single electricity charge. Its initial retail price is set at $80,000.
