Teaser Of New Nissan Sport Coupe Revealed

Nissan RWD Sport CoupeA shot of Nissan’s new RWD sports coupe has been released and it is one of the many teaser pictures that we expect to see. It is hard for anyone to make out any details in the picture – but it looks like the new car has been given tiny rear quarter windows and a bulging fender flare in the rear.

The new coupe will be based on the shortened version of the Z’s FM platform and will be called the FR. Underneath the hood it will be given either the 2.0 liter (naturally aspirated) or the 1.6 liter or 1.8 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder.

Speculation is that the S15 Silvia successor will be approximately 4,350 mm long, 1,750 mm wide and share the same wheelbase as the Z. Low weight and low price are key, and just like with its competitors from Subaru and Toyota, Nissan wants to keep the curb weight low, along with the price. According to many rumors Nissan will be debuting the new coupe in 2010.
