Nissan Reveals 2008 Skyline GT-R

Nissan has finally unveiled the 2008 Skyline GT-R and we are eager to find out everything we can about it. This will be the first time that the Japanese have brought the Skyline over to our shores so it needs to live up to all the hype that has been set up for it.
The GT-R’s twin-turbo 3.8L V6 will produce 473 horsepower and 434 ft-lbs. of torque – which is more than most of us were expecting it to have. The power is in the range of 450 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of twist. In true Skyline fashion, the car will be all-wheel-drive, with a further evolution of the GT-R’s electronic ATTESA ET-S torque-sensing system, tied into a four-wheel steering system.
While all previous Skylines were sedan-derived, the new model will reportedly gain its own two-door architecture, which bodes well for the car from a performance standpoint. The style for the Skyline is something that no one will gripe about. The curves compliment the vehicle and give it that true supercar look to it.
