Maserati MC12Maserati does a spectacular job of building super-fast, sport like vehicles that like to soak up all the extra money that we have. But we will willingly spend that money just so that we will have the luxury of being able to drive like a racer and seeing the awed looks on the faces of everyone you pass. And what better vehicle to do that in then the sleek 2005 MC12.

Great detail and careful planning is what makes this vehicle a natural supercar. The Ferrari Maserati group put their heads together and used all the knowledge and technological advances that they had and poured it into the MC12. To make this vehicle racing material they devolped the styling of the vehicle in a wind tunnel.

The 12 cylinder 65° V engine is the main tool that helps to create the power and the speed. This powerful engine displaces 5998 cc and punches out 630 bhp at 7500 rpm. But it does more then that. It alsoMC12 Engine has the ability to go from 0 to 62 mph in only 3.8 seconds! This means that it can reach up to 205 mph when it is at full throttle.

The vehicle was created to meet the needs and the characteristics of a road-going Maserati. It has the ability to offer a maximum torque of 481 lb-ft at 5500 rpm. Even with this the MC12 is able to drive smoothly.

The engine was also equipped with an aluminium crankcase, titamium con rods, and aerodynamically four-valve cylinder heads. The vehicle distibute by using four overhead camshafts per cylinder, which are gear driven. This enable the vehicle to have incredible timing control.

The MC12 is not for someone who has a large family, unless of course this is your fun second car that you have always dreamed about. The MC12 is a two seater coupe-spider that is equipped with a long wheel base. Like other sport vehicles it boasts 41%-front and 59%-rear weight distribution. Highly advanced composites and alloys have enhanced its structural rigidity and kept its overall weight down. Making driving easier for you.

It is given a removable hard top enabling the driver to change the look of the car. When the top is on it is a coupe, but when pulled off it immediately transforms into a spider. The interior of the vehicle is something to boast about. Some sport cars are fast and sport a powerful engine, but on the inside they are not as comfortable as you would hope. The MC12 is far from this. It is a great mix of elegance and sport.

The MC12’s bodywork is made up of only carbon fibre, while its stress-bearing chassis is made from a carbon fibre and Nomex honeycomb sandwich. Two aluminium sub-chassis’s support the ancillaries, help absorb bumps, and guarantee an excellent standard of safety. The MC12 benefits from all of the Ferrari Maserati Group’s most advanced technologies and competition experience.
