Lightning GT EV Displayed At 2008 British Motor Show

Lightning GT EVThe Lightning GT EV was displayed at the 2008 British Motor Show this week. The new supercar is powered by a Altairnano NanoSafe batteries - which is the same one used in the Phoenix SUT. The engine is able to push out 700bhp through its 4 electric motors.

It is also equipped with regenerative braking and every other luxury feature that we expect in a car of its standard. These features include full leather, AC, satellite navigation, and much more.

Its maker is claiming a 4.0-second charge to 60 mph for the Lightning. Unfortunately, official details have not been released and the Lightning GT’s price are still pretty scarce, though they are accepting £15,000 deposits.
