Lightning GT EV Displayed At 2008 British Motor Show
The Lightning GT EV was displayed at the 2008 British Motor Show this week. The new supercar is powered by a Altairnano NanoSafe batteries - which is the same one used in the Phoenix SUT. The engine is able to push out 700bhp through its 4 electric motors.
It is also equipped with regenerative braking and every other luxury feature that we expect in a car of its standard. These features include full leather, AC, satellite navigation, and much more.
Its maker is claiming a 4.0-second charge to 60 mph for the Lightning. Unfortunately, official details have not been released and the Lightning GT’s price are still pretty scarce, though they are accepting £15,000 deposits.
