Pebble Beach announced their special classes and one of them was a tribute to the Lancia. It was in the 1930’s that this particular company was producing some of the more prestigious and high class cars in Italy. The Astura was the top model for Lancia and close to 3,000 were produced.
Many of these had custom bodies by the great design houses of Italy. At Pebble, we expect to see at least a few Asturas as graceful as the Touring Flying Star pictured here. At the upcoming Mille Miglia retrospective, another important Astura will surface. Called the Colli Spider, this car competed three times in the original race with a unique body and specification.
