Lamborghini Owner Flies LP640 3,000 Miles For Oil Change
Tuesday, August 5th, 2008
You can tell when someone truly loves their car by how much they put into making sure that it is in the best possible condition. This was proven when a very wealthy man from Arab shipped his Lamborghini LP640 to London. The trip was a total of 3,250 miles and after the plane ride it was driven by truck to the nearest Lamborghini dealership.
All of this was for a simple fluid change and it cost him a good £23,552 ($46,644 USD). Needless to say environmentalists are not happy with the consumption. Airport workers at Heathrow also blasted the owner’s excess after watching the car get the royal treatment on the runway. One commented, “This car doesn’t have a carbon footprint - more of a crater,” and another pointed out that it would’ve been much cheaper to just fly certified Lamborghini technicians to Qatar to do the service.
