James Bond’s Wrecked Aston Martin Sold To Collector

Written by tonks on October 18, 2008

When it comes to Bond movies there are two things that we can’t help but love about each one of them; the women and the cars. Each spectacular car that is chosen is decked out with features that we can only dream about. The new Bond movie Quantum of Solace features an Aston Martin DBS. Unfortunately in true Bond fashion the car is totaled before the end.

Of course all of this totaling happened by accident and before the filming was finished. The first DBS was wrecked in the opening scene. Another one was destroyed when it was driven into Lake Garda in Italy. Most of us would agree that an Aston Martin that has been totaled is completely worthless. However, not everyone agrees with this.

Daniel Craig – mister James Bond himself – stated that the totaled DBS was removed from the lake and then sold off to a collector for the amount of £200,000. This is more then the asking price for a brand new and fully functional model. We wonder where he is keeping it now.
