Gibbs Sets Up Headquarters For Aquatic Car

Written by tonks on July 19, 2008

AquadaLast year the German company Gibbs made plans to produce an aquatic car in the U.S. This week we discovered that their headquarters in North America will be located in Auburn Hills, Michigan although we are not yet sure which plant it will be produced at.

Obviously, an amphibious car that will cost upward of $85,000 isn’t going to reach mass-market status, but there could certainly be a niche market for the Aquada, which can hit 110 mph on the road and 40 mph in the water. We believe that they have plans to start selling the product a year or two from now if not longer.
