The Milford Proving Grounds played host to the corvette ZR1 this week. They took the opportunity to test out the new supercar and to see just how well it would work on the track and prove itself worthy.
Jim Mero – the chief engineer – drove the 638 horsepower ZR1. He was the same driver who lapped the Nurburgring in only 7:26,4.The ZR1 is powered by a V-8 6.2 liter intercooler and supercharged engine that shares certain dimensions and some features with the current Z06’s LS7. The “9″ uses a fifth-generation low-profile Eaton supercharger that itself incorporates plenty of new technology.
