First Six Wheeled Car: Covini C6W

Covini C6WItalian manufacturer Ferruccio Covini’s radical six wheeler, the C6W, has been in the pipeline since the mid 70’s… though due to safety concerns and engineering costs – the concept has only recently seen the light of day.

Covini began work on the six-wheeler with backing from larger companies to help finance its development. Among it’s many features, the obvious is “Why 4 front wheels?” According to Covini, it’s safety concerns. Two front wheels at each corner means a front tire blowout will not cause the vehicle to lose control. Plus the extra stopping power from more rubber on the road is another plus.

EB 16-4 Veyron

EB 16-4 VeyronAfter what seems like years of teasing us with prototypes, mock sketches and the odd mention of a 1001 brake horsepower engine, the Bugatti Veyron is finally finished and will be sold to European markets late in 2003, and America and Asia Pacific territories after that. While the Bugatti name is essentially Italian, Carlo Bugatti (father of Ettore Buggati) left Milan for France in 1904, and the marque has since built its cars in Molsheim, France. Today, the Bugatti name is owned by Volkswagen, and the new Veyron supercar has also been styled by the Germans, yet despite this many of the die-hard Bugatti fans are still pleased with the car’s appearance.

2006 CCX Koenigsegg

2006 Koenigsegg CCXThe CCX is the latest model of the Koenigsegg CC family. The CCX is in many aspects a new car since it has been re-engineered to comply with the US regulation and market demands. Still, it has been a key issue for the Koenigsegg Team to keep the distinctive and record breaking CC shape. We believe it is important to avoid trends and instead hone the aerodynamic shape of the CC range for the future, only enhancing its unique look and appearance with tighter lines and a more aggressive stance. We also believe in continuity.

Fast And The Furious: 350Z

Fast and the Furious Nissan 350Z“Drift King” (“D.K.” for short) isn’t exactly the coolest-sounding name for a movie villain especially one that is supposed to have yakuza ties. However, for some reason the powers-that-be at Universal decided to stick this moniker on The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’s main bad guy.

Though saddled with the unfortunate nickname, the movie producers did their best to make this villain appear to be cool. Not only is “D.K.” the nephew of the Yakuza boss Sonny “Hattori Hanzo” Chiba, he gets to tool around Tokyo in this menacing-looking Nissan 350Z.
