Renault Alpine To Use Nissan G37 Platform

Sources have confirmed that we will see several new models bearing the Renault Alpine marque. All year long Renault has been hinting that they would be giving brand new cars the marque and not rebadging them.
Specific details have not yet been released - but we have been told that they might be basing the new car off of the platform that is used on the Nissan G37, G35, and the brand new 370Z. The new model could be more geared towards track duty, with a serious diet and some tweaks to the drivetrain.
Nissan Celebrates First U.S. Market GT-R

Today is the day that the 2009 Nissan GT-R goes up for sale. In celebration of the occasion Nissan held an event midnight last night in Southern California. They were also celebrating the fact that they had successfully delivered their first U.S. market car.
The customer who took home the Black Obsidian GT-R Premium model was Daryl Alison of Costa Mesa, Calif., He was surprised to learn that the dealership would be handing over the keys to his new car earlier then expected.
Delivery Of 2009 Nissan GT-R Begins July 7th

1,700 people have pre-ordered the 2009 Nissan GT-R and they will be happy to know that they are going to be getting their hands on it very soon. Starting July 7th Nissan will be starting the delivery process of the new cars to dealers in the U.S.
A Nissan spokesperson said that they were happy and a little shocked that the pre-order rate reached 70%. Because of this they are hoping to not have any problems selling the remaining 30%.
Nissan To Reveal GT-R Spec-V At Paris Motor Show

Car and Driver stated this week that a preliminary version of the Nissan GT-R-V Spec (Victory Specification) will be revealed during the Paris Motor Show later this year. They went on to say that it might also be ready to be sold by the end of the year.
The specs for the new car have not yet been released – but it is said to be faster, stronger, and a better version of the old – but fast Nissan GT-R. Yet, it will be lower and more powerful than the average GT-R.
Teaser Of New Nissan Sport Coupe Revealed

A shot of Nissan’s new RWD sports coupe has been released and it is one of the many teaser pictures that we expect to see. It is hard for anyone to make out any details in the picture – but it looks like the new car has been given tiny rear quarter windows and a bulging fender flare in the rear.
The new coupe will be based on the shortened version of the Z’s FM platform and will be called the FR. Underneath the hood it will be given either the 2.0 liter (naturally aspirated) or the 1.6 liter or 1.8 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder.
