Jaguar quietly and stealthily revealed the new XKR-S. This new supercar is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine that pushes out 420 horsepower. All this power is sent to the rear wheels through the six speed automatic gearbox – which is built Jaguar’s sequential shift system.

With this kind of power it is no surprise to us that it can rev from 0 to 60 in only 5.2 seconds and has a top speed of 174 miles per hour. This makes it the fastest Jaguar supercar since the XJ220. The revised suspension shows dampers, new springs, a recalibrated CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension), and a larger rear anti-roll bar. The active exhaust, revised aerodynamic aids, and 400mm Alcon R Performance brakes help to balance out the complete package.

This newest Jaguar supercar will only be limited to 200 units and will be available in both right and left hand drive. Unfortunately we here in the U.S. won’t get a chance to take it out for a drive.

2009 Jaguar Recall Due To Faulty Seat Belts

Those of you who own a 2009 Jaguar XF or were hoping to own one will be disappointed to know that it is currently being recalled. So far Jaguar has pulled back 7,900 of the 2009 model due to faulty seat belts.

In the case of an accident those seating in the rear seats would not be properly restrained in their seats and could be more seriously injured then if they were belted in properly. The rear seat safety belt d-ring was not assembled properly and may not rotate properly around the anchorage mounting bolt of the seat belt.

If the assembly is not held together when tightening, the d-ring or washer may separate from the shoulder of the spacer during an accident and forming a burr on either the washer or d-ring. This limit’s the proper rotation of the d-ring.

Those of you who own a 2009 Jaguar XF can cal 1-800-452-4827 or your local Jaguar dealership to take care of the problem immediately.

We were disappointed to hear that the new Jaguar XKR-S will not be making its way over to the U.S. The XKR-S sports coupe is equipped with firmer dampers, stiffer springs, quickened steering, thick anti-roll bars, and lighter 20” alloy wheels.

Jaguar aerodynamic changes, include a new rear spoiler, reduce lift up front by 60 percent, and 17 percent at the rear, while overall drag drops by three percent. The supercharged V8 is unchanged and still offers 420-hp.

Limited to a run of just 200 cars, Jaguar North America doesn’t feel it can run head-to-head with the likes of tuned Porsches and other sports cars in the States so the automaker is limiting sales to just Germany and Britain.

Arden Shows Off AJ21

Arden has released their newest creation – the Arden AJ21. The AJ21 was produced on the Jaguar XF and has been equipped with extensive aerodynamic modifications, a more powerful engine, and an interior that is elegant.

Arden suspensions for the JAGUAR XF are developed specifically for this car and are tested extensively under extreme conditions on the racetrack and in everyday traffic. Arden sport suspensions, developed in cooperation with BILSTEIN, offer a sporty yet comfortable ride. Installation of an Arden suspension kit lowers the XF about 30 millimeters.

- Increased engine capacity up to 4.5 litre Power increase of approx. 80 hp Max. torque increase of approx. 70 Nm More engine capacity through special crankshaft with forged, lighter pistons and connecting rods. Optimized oil-circulation system and cooling. Optimised engine management strategy. Arden high performance catalytic converters.

- Arden AJ 8 S4 power upgrade

- Power upgrade up to approx 550 hp and clear torque increase With increased engine capacity to 4.5 litre using a special manufactured crankshaft and connecting rods. Jaguar XFR To Debut Next Year In Detroit

According to recent news the Jaguar XFR will be making its big debut next January during the Detroit Auto Show. Jaguar has a chance to show off their new sports car during one of the biggest auto shows in North America.

After seeing recent spy shots of it and making its short revealing during the Goodwood Festival of Speed we are completely excited to see the final production version.

Jaguar Commemorates 60 Years Of The XK With The New XK60

The original XK60 was first introduced during the 1948 London Motor Show and it immediately became a hit thanks to its sleek design. Beneath the hood it housed a 3.4 liter straight six that could push out 160 horsepower. During this time period that was real power and people were impressed by it.

It’s 120 mph top speed made it the world’s fastest production car at the time and over the years, other XK’s followed the original’s footsteps – the XK140 in 1955 and the XK150 in 1958 – both named for their top speed capabilities. Then there’s the XKSS, the road-going version of the D-Type race car of which only sixteen were produced.

Jaguar will be celebrating these legendary cars at this year’s British Motor Show with the XK60, named to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the original XK120. Jaguar is mum about the features of the XK60, but we’ll be sure to bring you all the details when it is officially unveiled on July 22.

Jaguar XF-R Caught At Goodwood Festival Of Speed

We’ve been craving for more pictures of the Jaguar XF-R. Sure we have been given a few spy shots – but we have been looking to get a much better look at it and to see exactly what it is made of. Our chance finally came during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. There’s no mistaking the car is Jaguar thanks to the painting on its side.

A photographer was able to snap a few pictures of the car while it was running a few laps. Many assume that the car is powered by a V8 5.0 liter engine and can push out 500 horsepower. Riding on performance rubber wrapped around 20-inch wheels, the sleek sedan will be sure to meet any competition headed its way with no problems.

Jaguar Looking To Hire A Few Good People

Those of you who have always dreamt of working for one of the biggest British automakers owned by Tata – Jaguar/Land Rover may get the opportunity. But you better do it quickly because you can bet that these spots will fill up fast.

Tata is looking for 600 people to fill positions all around their company. They are looking for young engineers (preferably just out of college) and a few people to work in HR, purchasing, and financing.

The reason for the new hires includes tough new European CO2 emissions targets coupled with the fact that former parent Ford Motor Company had been supplying much of the brain-power to meet those targets. Many earth-saving technologies have already been developed, like an engine stop/start system for Land Rover, but more bodies are needed if game-changing products like the LRX are to see the light of day.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed will be hosted in only four weeks from July 11 – 13. This event is one of the best times to see some of the best and latest supercars that are all around the world. At the event will be the Sunday Times Supercar Run – which provides a unique way to show people new models in action for the very first time.

For 2008 the Sunday Times Supercar Run promises the very latest supercars from all around the world. Cars set to make their World and/or UK debuts will include the Breckland Beira, Ginetta G50, Shelby GT500 Super Snake and the awesome V8-powered Ariel Atom 500. Other UK debutants will include Nissan’s fearsome GT-R, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 ‘Hermes’ and stylish the Artega GT from Germany.

A number of sensational concept cars will be seen in action for the first time, including the Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS, using Aston’s V12 engine in the V8 Vantage chassis, as well as the svelte Bentley Continental GTZ, a car restyled by legendary design house Zagato and featuring their signature ‘double bubble’ design cues. The amazing Mazda Furai and Giugiaro’s latest hybrid concept sports car, the Ital Design Quaranta, will also appear for the first time in the UK.

This year the Supercar Run will also feature a number of cars that provide raw supercar performance through ultra lightweight technology. Cars in action will include the much anticipated KTM X-Bow in its final production form, the latest Lotus 2 Eleven and the electric Tesla Roadster from the USA. Also represented with their latest supercar models will be manufacturers such as Bugatti, Ferrari, BMW, Caparo, Jaguar, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Morgan, Pagani, Porsche and Spyker.

Jaguar And Land Rover Have Been Sold

Ford has finalized the sale of Land Rover and Jaguar. They released a statement stating that the deal was done and that they wished them and the people who work for them all the best.

As for the two companies they don’t seem to have changed much. They seem to be going on with the usual business. Tata Motors, has named former CFO David Smith the new CEO for Jaguar and Land Rover.

Former CEO Geoff Polites died unexpectedly last year. Today’s announcement of Smith’s new appointment comes right on schedule based on past information provided by the company. Smith has already been the acting CEO since Polites’ death late last April.
