Tata Prepares To Relaunch Daimler Luxury Brand
July 29th, 2008
Tata is looking to extend their luxury business. In order to accomplish this they will be bringing back the Daimler luxury brand. Tata has secured the rights to Daimler - which is part of the Jaguar-Land Rover purchase.
Tata assumed numerous brands in the deal, including the rights to produce cars under the name Daimler. These super-luxury cars from Tata could reach for a level currently occupied by other manufacturers. There’s not much of a chance — or need — to move Jaguar, as a brand, into theluxury level, but it wouldn’t be hard for the company to follow the model of Mercedes-Maybach, VW-Bentley and BMW-Rolls Royce.
