2007 Saleen Mustang: Parnelli Jones Limited Edition
Saleen Mustang is partnering with Parnelli Jones to produce a limited edition Mustang echoing the Jones 1970 Grabber Orange Boss 302 Race car. Due out this fall as a 2007 Ford Mustang model, it gets the same orange and black treatment as the original. ‘Shaker’ included sits atop a 302 3-valve boasting 370hp and 370 ft/lb of tourqe. They expect to only produce 500 of these special addition Mustangs priced in the mid $50,000 range.
Legendary Caterham 7
The Caterham range is derived from the old Lotus Seven, but although the shape still remains familiar, the Caterham has been through so many incarnations and engine choices since that it is a completely different car. These days the range exclusively uses versions of the Rover K-series engine as used in Rovers 25, 45 and 75, the MG versions of same, as well as the MG TF and also cars from other marques such as the Lotus Elise. Under an exclusive deal with Caterham, the K-series engines in 1.8-litre form, as tested here, are badged X-power.
New And Improved Ultima GTR
The exciting GTR was no less than fourteen months in development and the result is a product that takes the low-volume supercar to new levels of fit, finish and performance. And the GTR really is a supercar in every sense of the word.
With a top speed of over 200 miles per hour (using the company’s high performance engine option) the new car is more than a match for all but a handful of competitors. Add into the equation the huge cost of any of these alternatives and the short list ceases to be a list at all you’re simply left with Ultima.
