2006 Lexus LX 470
The Lexus LX 470 is far from being Lexus’ best-selling model only a total of 3,673 were sold through June. But like parent company Toyota Motor’s Land Cruiser on which it’s based, this full-size SUV never was intended to be a mass-market vehicle for the public.
2006 Audi TT
With its rounded body and handsome, aluminum-trimmed interior, Audi’s TT still manages to stand out even without a major redesign since its debut as a 2000 model in 1999.
The TT was introduced as a 2+2 coupe and a roadster was added a year later as a 2001 model. It sacrifices the coupe’s petite backseat for the folding canvas top. Changes for 2006 are minimal, with Sirius and XM satellite radio compatibility now standard across the line. A red interior color scheme available on the coupe is also new.
8C Competizion
In 2003, Alfa Romeo shocked everyone with the amazing 8C Competizione concept. The car was considered by many to be one of the most beautiful designs ever. Due to the enthusiastic public reaction, Alfa has decided to produce the 8C as a limited edition. And this brings us to the 2006 Paris Motor Show, the event to host the launch of the production Alfa supercar.
2007 Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 Edition
The new Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 Edition has all the attributes of a thoroughbred racing car. This spectacular vehicle is refined in numerous respects, this super sports car has more output, a tailor-made suspension configuration and a decidedly sporty interior. A continuing tradition: the new model variant SLR 722 Edition is a homage by Mercedes-Benz to the unforgettable victory won by the British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7.22 a.m.) at the Mille Miglia in 1955.
2007 Hummer H2
With king-size SUVs debuting on the General Motors stand (Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade), it’s surprising to see GM’s Hummer division with nothing but some gaudy trim packages. Two special H2 models are due in the first quarter of 2006, the “Pacific Blue” and “Fusion Orange” editions.
