Chevy Volt To Appear In Transformers II

Chevy VoltGeneral Motors has faith that the Chevy Volt and other plug-in electric cars will do well for them financially. If things are looking down for them now they are hoping that the recent commercialization that they have been working hard on will help them.

They have scheduled the Volt to be the centerpiece for the up and coming Centennial celebration that GM is throwing. However, this isn’t enough for them. They are hoping that a bit of face time in a blockbuster hit will do the trick for them.

GM Not Expecting Any Profit From First-Gen Chevy Volt

Chevy VoltBob Lutz from Chevy told reporters that the new Chevy Volt hybrid-electric series will cost around $40,000 – which is more than $10,000 more than the original model. He went on to say that this first generation of the Volt will bring in absolutely no revenue for General Motors.

GM Promises Chevy Volt To Arrive On Time

Chevy VoltMany of us doubt whether or not we will get a chance to see the Chevy Volt in action or if it will even be released on schedule. However, Bob Lutz has reassured once again stating, “I would say there’s almost no reasonable doubt in our minds anymore that this is going to work.”

This promise means that despite all of the problems that GM has been running into problems trying to produce the right technology for the Volt. Lutz said that engineers have driven the car to and above its 40-mile pure electric range already.

Pricing For 2009 Corvette ZR1 Released

2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1GM has released the official pricing details for the 2009 Chevrolet Corette ZR1. The price for this new supercar starts at $103,300 –which includes the $825 destination charge. This is the price for the base 1ZR trim level.

This trim level includes accoutrements from the upscale 3ZR. For an extra $10,000 the 3ZR adds side airbags, a DVD-based navigation system, Bluetooth phone connectivity, a luggage shade, and a Homelink garage door remote. 3ZRs also receive the interior dress-up package (which wraps the upper dash, door panels, and center console lid in leather) and sport seats (both power and heated) with adjustable lumbar and side bolsters.


Chevy Reveals 2010 Camaro Convertible

Camaro ConvertibleThe 2010 Chevy Camaro has all of us waiting in anticipation to see what new things will be revealed. This week we saw the new muscle car in convertible style.

AutoWeek says “These pictures show Camaro looking sleek in black in two poses - topless, and with the roof up.” Chevy North American Vice President Ed Peper “says the actual car may vary from the pictures, but it looks close to what will be in full production in 2009.”
