Video: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Caught Running Laps

2009 Cadillac CTS-VThe 2009 Cadillac CTS-V was spotted running laps around Milford. A video was taken of the new car and with a commentary from the driver to let us know what he thinks and what he is doing.

As you can see from the video the sedan is being driven at alarming speeds that many of us wouldn’t dare try on the streets. Underneath the hood is a 556 horsepower supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 that came from the LSA V8.

2009 Cadillac CTS-V Shows Off At Nürburgring

Cadillac CTS-VThe Cadillac communications group invited a group of media to General Motors’ Milford Proving Ground to give them a special preview of the brand new second-generation Cadillac CTS-V. The first glimpse we all got of the CTS-V was last January during the Detroit Auto Show.

A few weeks back, GM’s resident speed demon engineer John Heinricy took a production spec CTS-V to an all-time lap record of 7:59.32 for a production sedan at the Nürburgring, and this week Cadillac revealed the official SAE certified power numbers for the super-Caddie at 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque.

2009 Cadillac CTS-V Equipped With 556 Horsepower

2009-Cadillac CTS-VCadillac announced today that their new 2009 CTS-V will be rated at 556 horsepower – which will allow it to go from 0-60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. It has the ability to run an incredible quarter mile in 12 seconds flat!

The engine that it uses to be able to get this kind of power is a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 – which can produce 556 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 551 pound-feet of torque at 3,800 rpm. With this new engine power Cadillac should be able to go up against BMW’s M5.


GM Releases Details For 2009 Cadillac XLR

2009 Cadillac XLRGM announced some much needed updates on the 2009 Cadillac XLR - which is due to come out in July. The new V-Series have been given revised rear and front fascias that have been given unique grillwork for the different trim levels.

The Platinum will be given the CTS egg-crate look, while the $100K V-Series presumably soldiers on with the mesh visage that is the V signature. New fender vents have been added, and a number of tweaks have been made to the cars’ interiors, including Alcantara headliners, new instrumentation, and a leather cut-and-sew treatment on the instrument panel.

Lucky Cop Gets To Use 2008 Cadillac XLR-V

2008 Cadillac XLR-V Cop CarThe 2008 Cadillac XLR-V is a pretty amazing looking vehicle that you don’t get a chance to see too often. That is unless you go to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where you can get to see one if you feel the need to break the law.

It’s not too hard to see cops riding around in Dodge Chargers and other nice vehicles, but to see one riding around in a $100,000 Cadillac? Now that is something to see.
