BMW Sells 300,000th M3 In Time To Celebrate 30 Year Anniversary
The BMW has been showing off its luxury and sports car brand for 30 years. Their first car that carried their unique badge was the famous M1 and since that time 300,000 cars have been given the “M” badge. Close to 1% of the BMW’s that were sold in 2007 were M models. 2010 BMW 5-Series Receives New Look
The most current BMW 5-series seems a bit awkward when you first glance at its exterior design – but it looks as if the brand might be able to finally get away from this look when it is redesigned.
Caught testing on the ‘Ring recently, the next-gen 5 series is sporting a new grille with nostrils large enough to drive a 1 series through. Seemingly inspired by the mondo nose of the BMW CS concept, the new 5 series will also apparently sport a smoother overall shape that gets us back to BMW sedans of the past. We dig it, at least in prototype form.
2008 Goodwood Festival Of Speed
The Goodwood Festival of Speed will be hosted in only four weeks from July 11 – 13. This event is one of the best times to see some of the best and latest supercars that are all around the world. BMW Z4 Prototype Spotted
Some very lucky people were able to run into two BMW prototypes while they were driving along the California Pacific Coast Highway. One of them was able to snap some pictures with his camera phone – which he happily shared with us.
BMW Introduces G-Power M6 Hurricane
G-Power will be equipping the M6 with a 5.0 liter V10 engine similar to the one that was given the M5 Hurricane. That’s right be prepared for the all new G-Power M6 Hurricane.
The twin blowers on the car have been set for a lower boost – which is only 6 psi when you compare it to the 10 psi of the M5. However, it still can produce a good 635 bhp at 7300 rpm and 469 pound-foot of torque. This gives the car the ability to go from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph.
