Bentley Launches New Continental Flying Spur Speed In Boston
June 9th, 2008
Bentley will be revealing the $200,000 Continental Flying Spur Speed sedan this week in Boston, Mass. We find this a bit odd because no automaker has ever chosen this city for a worldwide product launch.
Bentley usually chooses to release their cars in Geneva and Paris. But the legendary British automaker chose Boston this time because Bentley plans to move its North American headquarters here from Detroit this fall. “We really wanted to use our new location as a showcase for the brand,” company spokesman David Reuter said.
Next Generation Bentley Arnage To Cater To Wealthy
June 8th, 2008
Bentley has been selling their Flying Spur, GT, GTC, and GT Speed with absolutely no problems – but when it comes to their Arnage line they are not so fortunate. The Bentley Arnage is one of the more classic looking cars that they have and because of this many consumers do not see the need to have it.
Bentley will be using the next generation Arnage to be sold to the filthy rich (which is about 2$ of the population) with its extra long version. That’s right the new Arnage was seen by spies and the shots they caught were able to show off the 18” wheelbase that the new model is sporting.
ASI Uses Continental GT To Create The Tetsu GTR
June 6th, 2008
Many of us love to see the Bentley Continental GT driving around town (if you’re lucky enough to see one) or even in one of our favorite movies. We can understand the need to tune it up to make it more powerful - but what happened to this Bentley is just sad.
This Continental GT was used to create this Tetsu GTR. The Japanese tuner ASI decided that it needed some sprucing up and gave it a new rear and front apron, trunk and spoiler, exposed carbon fiber hood, and a custom paint job that has been painted with flowers! I think we can all agree that the flowers need to be removed.
13,000 Bentley Continentals Being Recalled
June 4th, 2008
Bentley is no stranger with recalls. They have been forced to issue them – but they have been fortunate enough to only have to pull out 600 cars. Now things have changed and they are forced to recall 13,000 Continentals.
We don’t know which is more surprising the fact that so many are being recalled or the fact that there are that many of the Continentals. This number shows us that they have become the most popular Bentley on the market.
Bentley Works To Create Enviromental Friendly Cars
September 14th, 2007
Bentley is working to build its models to be more enviromentally friendly according to the EU-wide regulations. ’We are currently forming a view on the matter, for instance by talking to politicians in England,’ Bentley head Franz-Josef Paefgen stated. ‘And when the view is complete, we will decide in spring 2008 what to do.
‘Bentley’s powerful Bentley models traditionally use a comparably large amount of fuel, with the Coupe Continental GT guzzling an average of more than 17 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres. The car emits some 396 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometre, which is well above proposed EU regulation limiting CO2 emissions to 120 grams per kilometre by 2012.
