BMW And Fiat To Bring Back Alfa Romeo To The U.S.
July 9th, 2008
BMW and Fiat will be working hand in hand on a brand new front wheel drive small car platform - but that is not the only work they have on their agenda. They are also planning on returning Alfa Romeo back to the U.S. in 2010 by introducing a new model that has been given the code name “project 940”.
Fiat’s statement included the line, “as part of a possible cooperation, BMW Group will provide Fiat Group Automobiles with support in launching the Alfa Romeo brand in the North American market.” Furthermore, a Fiat spokesperson told AN, “MINI U.S. dealers would have the possibility to also sell Alfa Romeo cars.”

Alfa Romeo Brera S Hits Dealerships
June 19th, 2008
The Alfa Romeo Brera S produced by Prodrive was a car that many of us were looking forward to and now we are able to get that chance. The car has hit the dealerships and with only 500 of them produced we can only imagine how quickly they will begin to sell.
Changes Made: The 185bhp, 2.2 JTS and the 260bhp 3.2 V6 JTS engines are unchanged, but there are myriad changes to suspension and steering aimed at making the Brera less of a long-distance tourer and more responsive on UK roads while maintaining the original’s composed ride.

It looks like the Italian Alfa Romeo is going to join the club and call North America its new home. The company is seriously thinking about returning to the U.S. market and to begin production in North American by 2011.
If things go according to plan we should hear an official statement from Sergio Marchionne who already made this statement; “The U.S. market is very large, and we’re not looking to occupy a premier position. But I think we do have a couple of brands and products that we can sell successfully there.”
