Neiman Marcus To Sell 2009 BMW Limited Edition 7-Series
October 12th, 2008
Starting October 7th Neiman Marcus will be selling the 2009 BMW 7-Series. Those who want to get their hands on one of the early models will have to pay a steep price of $160,000. Only 31 units of the Neiman Marcus Limited Edition cars will be available.
BMW has based the sedan on the 750Li. The price is obviously higher than what we would expect the base price will be for the 7-Series. However, buyers are sure to get more then just the limited edition model with their purchase. They will also receive a trip to Europe to pick up their new model directly from Munich where the BMW headquarters are located.
Cool Cars That Attract Your Soul Mate
September 24th, 2008
O.K. lets be serious about what we are looking for when we are looking for that next special some one. I know this may seem shallow but, you really should consider your ride when it comes to dating. I know what you’re thinking for most people the first thing you look at when you meet some one probably isn’t their car.
It comes up though, even if you don’t mean for it to and sometimes there are a lot of things you can tell about a person by looking at there car. In fact many people are able to determine the income level and personality of someone just by watching what they drive.
BMW Puts A Stop To Production Of E92 M3 CSL
August 28th, 2008
We were disappointed to discover that BMW will not be delaying the production of the E92 M3 CSL - but will in fact be canceling it all together. We were expecting to see the final products of the car arrive in the summer of 2009. BMW had us all excited with talks of it being sharper and more light-weight when compared to the E92 M3 version.
It was also supposed to receive an upgrade in power between 450bhp and 470 bhp with a corresponding drop in weight, down by 100kg thanks to wider use of flyweight materials. Cup tires, new engine breathing and a carbonfibre airbox were due to complete the makeover.
BMW Turns Focus From Supercars To Hybrids
August 25th, 2008
When we saw the BMW M1 Hommage concept we immediately began to ask when we were going to get a chance to see the production version. However, we might not get a chance to see it - at least not for a very long time.
A board member from BMW stated that they have no plans to produce a supercar that will be able to compete with the new Audi R8. They have decided to focus all of their attention and resources on green technologies.
BMW Releases MSRP For 2009 Model Line-Up
August 21st, 2008
BMW has released the MSRP for all of the 2009 model line-up for North America including the pricing and new option package details. The car in the lowest end is the 128i Coupe which comes in at $29,200.
On the high end was the brand new M6 Convertible for a hefty $107,500. As far as options, it looks like a heated steering wheel is going to become part of most cold weather packages, and Active Steering will no longer be available on 128i or 328i/xi models. Finally, if you want a double-clutch gearbox on your M3, you’ll need to pony up an extra $200 in addition to the base manual transmission option cost of $2,700.
