Bugatti Gives Details Into New Targa Concept

Bugatti Targa Concept DrawingBugatti is making a New Year’s resolution – to make a supercar that is even better than the Bugatti Veyron and one that is more powerful. The new Targa will cost $1.9 million for Bugatti to create.

The new Targa model will feature a glass roof brought to us by Webasto who gave Volkswagen Eos that good folding roof. The Bugatti’s roof will not automatically retract, however, because of the Veyron’s tightly packed design. To compensate for the additional weight of the glass roof, the supercar will have a carbon hood & doors. Other modifications include a slightly restyled grille and headlamps incorporating an adaptive function that sees them swivel in tandem with the front wheels.

As a result of its altered aerodynamic properties, Bugatti plans to limit the EB16.4 Veyron’s top speed to 350 kph (217 mph), some 35 mph shy of the coupe’s 407-kph (253 mph) maximum. But even at that speed, it will be able to claim the title of world’s fastest open-top car.

The fact that they are already boasting of its greatness leaves us in wonder and excitement as to all the details we haven’t heard – but will hear about over the next few months.
