Australia’s Bolwell Nagari Supercar

Written by tonks on November 13, 2008

Australia will be producing a brand new lightweight supercar that will be reviving the Nagari. The Nagari was produced back in the 1960’s and ‘70’s. It will be equipped with all of the usual supercar parts that we are used to seeing. This means you can find carbon fiber, a Momo steering wheel, paddle gearbox, and a twin Recaro seat.

The transmission has been hooked up to a Toyota-sourced 3.5 liter V6 engine that is connected to amidships that puts power into the rear wheels. The one thing that we don’t like is the fact that it lacks the power that is usually found in a supercar.

However, we can expect this because the car is not lightweight. The price is around $200k in Australia. When you convert this to American money it turns into $130,000. This is actually a good deal when you take a look at the car. Those who put down a refundable deposit will be given a first drive in early of 2009.
