All Hail The Lamborghini Reventon

Lamborghini ReventonLamborghini is taking supercars to the next level and creating one that looks badder than all the others and faster. It even has a cool name, the Reventon! With a name like that you can’t help, but be curious. And we can’t help but drool over it.

The Reventon, based on Lambo’s Murcielago LP640 and using the same 6.5-litre, 12-cylinder motor, shoots from zero to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and can do more than 340km/h. Its futuristic design, controls and dash are intended to evoke a jet fighter, as opposed to a car that, despite its extraordinary capability it is entirely street-legal.

The press release had this to say: “The Lamborghini Reventon has been entirely designed in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the original birthplace of the Lamborghini and the native home of every super car born under the sign of the bull. Every detail of the projects drawn up in Lamborghini’s Centro Stile (Style Center) is fine-tuned in close collaboration with the Lamborghini Technical Department and Development Division. Thus, the Reventon is not only “haute couture” but it also stands out for its elevated dynamism whilst entirely suitable for every day use. The Lamborghini Reventon is not destined to remain a one-off. A total of 20 Lamborghini friends and collectors will be able to own this extraordinary car and, naturally, enjoy the incomparable pleasure of driving it.”

Looking to buy it? Good luck with that. Not only is this Lamborghini’s most expensive car that they have made, but it also costs more than most of us can afford. Not to mention that only a few of them were made, about 20 to be exact. Which as you can imagine are already sold out. Most of them going to men here in the U.S. and all of them going to people who can pay $1.7million for it.
