Maybach 57 S EngineWhen you first glance at the 2007 Maybach 57 S you cna imagine someone rich and elegant riding inside with a chaffuer as their driver. It may not seem like your usual sports car above the hood, but surprisingly enough it is something that people enjoy especially in America.

Discreet and tasteful exterior features accentuate the decidedly dynamic presence of the new Maybach 57 S. These include a modified front end with a strikingly redesigned radiator and lighting units, attractive 20-inch spoked wheels, discreet “57 S” lettering on the wing beneath the A-pillars and on the boot lid, and single-tone paintwork in the black or silver color tone reserved for the model 57 S.

At the rear a redesigned apron with two new, trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes subtly indicates the high performance potential of the 57 S. Even at a standstill, this dynamic and elegant appearance confirms that the new Maybach meets the wishes of sporty owner-drivers for an exclusive luxury car with a fulminating performance.Maybach 57 S

Its 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V-12 makes 603 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, versus 543 hp and 664 lb-ft for the stock 57, enough to spear this 6000-pound behemoth from 0 to 62 mph in 5.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 171 mph. Maybach also retuned the air suspension, lowered the ride height by 0.6 inch, and fitted thicker antiroll bars and twenty-inch wheels.

The 57S drives remarkably well, although its considerable mass eventually overpowers the outside tires when cornering, even with the air springs in the sportiest setting. The road-crushing ride is unperturbed by the stiffer suspension, and the lack of noise from the 275/45 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s is amazing.

The contemporary Maybach interpretation of high-performance, impressive handling dynamics and sumptuous luxury is also reflected in the interior of the 57 S. The highest quality materials are hand-finished to perfection for an intentionally distinctive and particularly exclusive look, in typical Maybach style. Particularly in the driver’s direct field of vision and activity, carefully coordinated applications of exquisite piano lacquer and sporty carbon create an atmosphere of dynamic elegance. Newly designed leather upholstery tastefully accentuates this overall impression.Maybach 57 S Interior

The interior of the vehicle has a contemporary touch that gives us a look at the luxury that people will ride in. If you are looking for something to spend your money on and to impress people at the same time than you have picked the right car. We wouldn’t suggest you call it a sports car though, it just doesn’t have the look of one and people might not beleive you.
